Wireshark-users: [Wireshark-users] Help - Regarding Wireshark rpm

Date: Fri, 11 Apr 2008 19:50:08 +0530

Hi,

I have a query regarding installation of Wire Shark on RedHat Linux . I guess it comes by default with the CDs but is there any possibility to get the rpm for wireshark from any website and later install on the Linux system. Can you please help me with the website details from where I can download the same( Any dependencies as such)?

I tried with downloading from the following -:

ftp.centos.org/5.1/updates/i386/RPMS/wireshark-0.99.7-1.el5.i386.rpm

But it looks like it is looking for a lot of dependency.

I haven’t yet tried with the update manger available with the Red Hat Linux System.

The Linux version is: 2.6.9-42.

Regards,

Arindam
