Hi all,

I’ve released Dissector CI, a small open-source tool for regression testing Lua dissectors.

It runs saved captures through TShark and checks decoded fields against expectations in YAML. Tests run locally or through GitHub Actions, with support for testing across Wireshark versions.

Repository, setup instructions and examples

I’d appreciate feedback from anyone maintaining a Lua dissector. If you try it with one of your captures, were setup and failure messages clear? I’d also be interested in how you currently test your dissectors and whether this would fit your workflow.
