Hi all,
I've been working on a schedule for the release of Wireshark 5.0.0 and Stratoshark 1.0.0 in late October, and have come up with the following:
July 15: Release Wireshark 4.7.2 & Stratoshark 0.10.2 (done!)
July 18-23: SharkFest US
Mid August: Release Wireshark 4.7.3 & Stratoshark 0.10.3
August 19: Release Wireshark 4.6.8 and 4.4.18
September 14: Create the release-5.0 branch
September 16: Release Wireshark 5.0.0rc1 & Stratoshark 1.0.0rc1
September 23: Release Wireshark 4.6.9 and 4.4.19
October 14: Release Wireshark 5.0.0rc2 & Stratoshark 1.0.0rc2
October 21: Release Wireshark 5.0.0 & 4.6.10
November 2-6: SharkFest EU
If you need to delay any of the above, particularly the creation of the release-5.0 branch or the 5.0 release itself, please let me know.

and the Stratoshark 1.0 milestone can be found at https://gitlab.com/wireshark/wireshark/-/milestones/6. If any issues are missing from either one please let me know.
In accordance with our support lifecycle policy 4.4.19 will be the last 4.4.x release. It will be the last release to support Windows 10 version 1607, Windows Server 2016, and macOS 11.

We've discussed it before, but this will be the last release branch that uses an odd minor version for development releases and an even minor version for stable releases.
