Hi,

It’s not a question if Wireshark can receive these packets, because Wireshark doesn’t handle packet reception.

From the bottom up: the 10GbE SFP’s should be fine.

Then you mention some unknown SFP+ card, in some unknown PC.

This is where the performance challenge starts. Can the card handle sustained 10GbE flow? Can the PCI bus handle it? Can the Windows driver? Can the harddisk handle it?

Only then you can start to think about loading captures into Wireshark for analysis.

So think about your platform first and foremost. This is the realm of dedicated network recording equipment, like Endace, profitap, Allegro packets and Viavi have.

I am trying to interface from the Microchip PolarFire FPGA (MPF300TS-1FCG1152I) board directly to PC via CEACENT AN8571 10Gb SFP+ 850nm SR at both ends, PC consisting of SFP+ card. Then trying to capture the packets through Wireshark for testing 10G. Could you please guide me whether the interface is sufficient enough to receive the packets through Wireshark.
