There are a few bugs already reported related to scrolling (some might even be duplicates) – perhaps one of these reflect what you’re experiencing?

·         View jumps to the top when scrolling with a mouse wheel or scroll bar on a large capture: https://bugs.wireshark.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=12466

·         Automatically scroll to the last packet during live capture does not work as expected: https://bugs.wireshark.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=12130

·         Packet list keeps scrolling back to selected packet: https://bugs.wireshark.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=12074

·         Live Statistics Windows Keep Going back to First Line During Scrolling Down/UP: https://bugs.wireshark.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=10709

If you feel none of these identify your problem, then refer to the instructions at the link that Graham provided below for reporting a new bug.

I havea small issue with wireshark.
How do I report the bug?

Darrin Calcutt

when I stop the program from capturing...

and manually scroll down the contents to see the captured packets...

the program periodically jumps back up the the beginning of the capture.

Annoying to haveto scroll down again to where I was last looking.
