Right now I can't because the Windows 8.1 machine does not have a development environment. I generated the full memory dump and loaded it in windbg on my development machine, but it was not very helpful so far (the parameters for gtk_init seemed ok). And everything works fine on my Windows 7 dev machine.

I could not locate them on OpenSUSE ftp(the packages have been replaced by newer versions). I do not know if Gerald has them.
