I think so: subscribe to the mailing list and then go into your
subscription options and turn off mail delivery. I think usually that
Mailman option is used for stopping delivery during vacation but it
would probably work well for you.

Yeah - isn't there a way to be subscribed but not get all "other" mail ?
I'm asking because I do follow the repository closely but do neither
have the knowledge nor the time to actively be involved in the
