Hi
Great job so far on the QT version. Although there is clearly some way
to go still, I think it is a step in the right direction.
I do have a question though.
Is there a point in the forseeable future, where new development for
the GTK version will cease to exist (and just focus on bug-fixing) and
all further development should go into the QT version?
The reason for my question is, that I currently are implementing some
add-ons for the openSAFETY and EPL dissectors. I would prefer if I
could avoid redoing significant parts of the implementation, and start
with QT right away.
Also, is there a plan for integrating gui-plugins, so that a dissector
can have it's specialised view of packets brough along with the
dissector itself? HTTP stats come to mind, but in such a case, that
the option and loading of the plugin would only happen, if there is
actual need in the currently used plugins.
regards,
Roland
