You need gtk2-devel.

Thanks for the reply Anders.
How do we check whether we have installed that package or not. I have
installed many of GTK applications through package manager. Do you know
any specific links where you can get GTK dev packages??

Thanks and regards

    Hi all,

i am trying to compile wireshark-1.7.0-SVN-39443 and i am getting
    the following error:

        "checking for GTK+ - version >= 2.12.0... no
*** Could not run GTK+ test program, checking why...
*** The test program failed to compile or link. See the file
        config.log for the
*** exact error that occured. This usually means GTK+ is
        incorrectly installed.
configure: error: GTK+ 2.12 or later isn't available, so
        Wireshark can't be compiled"

I am using CentOS- and through package manager i have installed all
    the gtk+ 2.12 related applications.
Can somebody please help me to fix this issue??

    Thanks and regards
