Are you talking about the long white area to type things like "ip.addr
== 192.168.1.1"?
Wireshark doesn't really have support for handling non-ASCII strings
throughout the program right now, unfortunately. This has been
discussed in the past and is probably mentioned everywhere from the wiki
to the bug database.
