On the Server/Workstation/Fusion side, WMWare interfaces start with "vmnet"
("VMnet" on Windows). According to
http://www.vmware.com/support/esx21/doc/esx21admin_MACaddress.html
VMWare uses the OUI 00:0c:29 for automatically generated addresses, and 00:50:56
for manually generated addresses. Our manuf file also shows 00:05:69 and
00:1C:14 for VMWare, along with entries for Xensource and Parallels. Other
products use specific OUIs as well:
