Hi,

I suspect the way Cygwin sets up has changed rather than the version of any individual packet.

I too believe that this is a cygwin related issue. My WinXP at home have no problems while my WinXP at work have these problems. They differ slightly in the versions of the installed cygwin packages (my work-XP is more recent).

Do you know if there a simple command to use to list the installed cygwin packages together with their versions (for comparison between the two installations)?

Best regards, Peter

Hi,
I have problems on my Vista box at work, on my home XP system it works fine.
I think it may be related to the Cygwin setup - group permissions? "patch"
also produces files with wrong file permissions...
Regards
Anders

It sounds like it would be better to use something like

xcopy /Y help\faq.txt FAQ   rather than using cygwin cp ....

Could you try changing Makefile.nmake to use xcopy ... to see if that
works properly in your environment.

If so, let us know and I'll commit the change.
