Hi Bahaa / Martin,

Ever since I have seen this enhancement request raised, I have been
eager to try it out. But, now that I have compiled the latest SVN
version... it doesn't seem to work (that is, no pop-up menu appears
with the suggested values) .

Hi Abhik,

Its a very nice feature that I wish I or someone else had written years ago :)

Its working in my Linux and Windows builds (I commited it using my Linux client, which shows that I didn't miss out any files needed by Windows.  I did run 'nmake -f Makefile.nmake setup' before building under Windows).  All you should need to do is type e.g. "sip." in the main display filter and the popup should appear.

As I noted in bugzilla, there are still some places where you can edit display filters that its not enabled (while we check that its not dangerous or gtk-version-dependent, or...), but it is there in the main display.

I suppose you could try putting breakpoints or printfs in there to see if its visiting the code it should....  Is it working for anybody else?

Must I do anything special to enable the feature?

Thanks,
Abhik.
