Hmm.. "it shouldn't be" :).  This is when you hit the refresh toolbar
button or close and open a capture file?  How much growth are you
seeing?


It seems like this is when loading a big wireless capture, so the custom columns is not the problem :)


When loading a 40MB file the mem usage grows from 47MB to 238MB on current trunk. When hitting the refresh toolbar button the mem usage drops to 206MB and grows to 266MB. The same happens when closing the file and opening again.

On 0.99.8 the grow is from 47MB to 154MB on the same file, and on refresh it drops to 121MB and grows to 172MB.

This is observed on win32, but I see the same happening on osx.
