It seems that when running Wireshark 0.99.6 over a Windows XP Remote
Desktop connection, there's a problem with the color palette, such that
the text color is always white, rather than black. While it makes the
text hard to read on a gray background, some areas of the screen have a
white background, making it impossible to read at all. According to the
user who reported the problem to me, this problem has existed for all
Wireshark versions after 0.99.2. He uses 0.99.2 without a problem, as
far as the colors are concerned.
Attached is a snapshot of the Wireshark preferences dialog over a Remote
Desktop connection, which clearly depicts the problem I've described.
I don't know if this is a gtk problem or a Wireshark problem though.
Cheers,
Chris
