Any chance of getting this patch applied ? I've updated the patch in
bugzilla (#1157, not the typo'ed number below) to the latest SVN.

The preferred way to send patches is to send the to the list - just as
you did. In case you don't receive any feedback for (let's say) 10 days,
then the best thing is to open a bug and attach the patch there. That
way we will not loose it.
