Version 2.2.0 (v2.2.0-0-g5368c50 from master-2.2)
Seen on Mac OS X on Mac El Capitan, MBP, using the default profile.

At some version point the window title preference stopped working correctly.
Any opening of prefs, when closed, causes the setting to return to the original
default. 

This bug also appears to be the case for the gui.prepend.window_title setting.
