on bug 12837
from Guy Harris
Merely removing from the "All Capture Files" list the extensions that
correspond to files we can read but that *aren't* capture files (such as
JPEGs), as done in I705bff5fcd0694c6c6a11892621a195aa7cd0264, does *not* reduce
the list enough to keep it from being too long.
The right way to fix this is to somehow arrange that "All Capture Files" not
show the list of extensions. I don't know whether there's a way to say "don't
show the list of extensions for this *particular* file type", or, if it's all
or nothing, what UI guidelines say about showing extensions for file types.
Unfortunately, at least by default, the Qt Open dialog uses the same list for
filtering and for display, so if you remove entries from the list for display
purposes, that means *changing* the set of files displayed for "All Capture
Files", and we should *not* change that, so shortening the list is not a proper
fix.
