Looking deeper into the bug, I figured out that it could be not a bug.
It seems to me that the extcap detaches from the current console, so it prints
the prompt before the actual printfs take place. After the prints, the terminal
is not hang, instead it has _already_ printed the prompt. The new ENTER prints
the prompt again, giving the impression that the hang is gone.
@Roland, if you confirm that, I'd close this.
