Thinking out loud.

Should similar treatment be considered for GUI features such as: File -> Export
Packet Dissections -> As Plain Text?

On OS X with an export dissections as plain text I see '*' for the unset
tcp.flags.str flags, but also see the Unicode rightwards arrow (U+2192, [e2 86
92]) between source port and dest port.

If unicode chars are written to the "plain text" files should we (optionally?)
start with the file with a Unicode BOM?
