While I was trying to match a substring of a MAC address, I found that it is
not possible for me to type the [ character entering the filter "eth.addr[0:3]
== xx:xx:xx"
I am using a German keyboard, so typing [ involves the AltGr and the 8 key.
I have tried:
- restarting Wireshark: no success
- typing [ in other programs: everything is fine
- copy/paste [ from other program into Wireshark: is ok as a workaround
- typing ] (AltGr+9): is fine in Wireshark and other programs
