on bug 12137
from Kubsztal
I'm sorry for a confusion, perhaps I haven't explained the idea in enough
details. Please check this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Df_-Fqh5kXc
(from 0:20 to 0:45) to check how fixed position mode works for CAN messages in
Vector CANoe. Type of the message is defined by message ID and CAN channel.
This means all messages with the same ID and on the same CAN channel are
displayed in the same line. For ETH frames type definition is more
sophisticated, as messages can be differentiated by source/destination IP/port,
length, protocol and other properties. Therefore I proposed possibility to mark
a visible column which will differentiate messages for fixed position display.
Regarding my 3 examples on attached picture:
1. Type defined by source/destination IP/port. This means that all messages
with the same source/destination IP/port will be displayed in one line.
2. Type defined by length. This means that all messages with the same length
will be displayed in one line.
3. Type defined by source IP. This means that all messages with the same source
IP will be displayed in one line.
