on bug 12024
from Pavel Sindelka
After consulting Amato C. I conclude that the root cause of the issue was
actually a wrong arrangement of the capturing environment.
While the smartphone has successfully received all the frames the AP has sent,
the wireless adaptor used for monitoring could not properly demodulate some of
them due to its receiver technical abilities combined with its spatial position
wrt the wireless AP and the sources of interference. As the AP operates 802.11n
in mixed mode, it sends the frame headers using a more robust modulation than
the payload, which explains why almost exclusively (with just a few exceptions)
its "QoS-data" type frames were affected, as the others didn't carry any
payload.
