I made mistakes in my previous comment, on the 1.12.8 thing, dropped
packet=unknown in summary on reopen,

Correct comment is:
On load, "dropped packets" never appear in the status bar, instead there's
"Load time"

But in 2.0.1, on reopen, Statistics -> Capture File Properties, Dropped Packets
= unknown

Weird thing on 1.12.8 on OS X:
Capture -> dropped packet=0 in status line
Reopen, Statistics -> Summary, dropped packet = unknown in summary

So got another different problem for me on 1.12.8, dropped packet difference
between number in status line after capture and in unknown in summary.
Related to my configuration or someone can reproduce that on 1.12.8?
