@asdf51020, can you try Wireshark-win64-2.1.0-1388 or later when it shows up at

? On Windows and OS X here if I open up Wireshark and select an interface I can
type a capture filter into the "Enter a capture filter …" box in the welcome
screen and either press return or the "Start Capture" toolbar button to start a
capture, even when the filter check is waiting on DNS.

(We should probably make sure an interface is selected at startup but that's a
separate issue.)
