Kerberos, without GeoIP, with QtMultimedia, without AirPcap.
Running on Linux 4.2.3-hardened-r3, with locale C, with libpcap version 1.7.4,
with libz 1.2.8, with GnuTLS 3.3.17, with Gcrypt 1.6.3.
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4300U CPU @ 1.90GHz (with SSE4.2)
Built using gcc 4.9.3.

Started Pidgin here and sniffed the network package while it is connecting via
STARTTLS to my ejabberd server gave for all XMPP/XML packages the error :
