Hmm, that's good but...  I wonder if Wireshark should have some self
protection.

How long was Wireshark "not responding" when you hit the problem?  As I
mentioned it was only unresponsive for a second or two in my tests (which while
annoying really isn't too bad).  From your description I'm guessing it wasn't
responsive for a while which seems odd...  I also worry if there's another
problem in there somewhere...
