So what happens if you try to capture from the command line with dumpcap? Does
it fail at the same point with the same error? (And what happens with tcpdump?
Newer versions of libpcap should be built with the same "large files OK"
options that Wireshark should be built with. You've got a 32-bit Linux machine
and a busy network, so you've got a good test case for both libpcap/tcpdump and
Wireshark.)
