I can do better, I can provide a dissector, unfortunately I misjudged how
gerrit would behave when I did that, I created quite a mess of > 190 commits (I
apologise for any noise I may have caused in any lists), I am trying to squash
them into something more sane, it's complicated because there are changes by 2
authors and I wanted to preserve the commit history to the dissector. In the
interests of simplicity and since this a new dissector I think it makes sense
to reduce these down. Problem is also that I had some patches at the end and
middle of the set of patches to
a) adjust bit rotted patches for master
b) fixup checkAPI.pl complaints
c) whitespace cleanup
since it seems gerrit seems to like each patch to be self contained and
buildable it looks like I have to apply some stuff further up the patch chain
and reorganise & squash. It's also possible I am using gerrit incorrectly,
ideally I would like to submit a set of patches (that are treated together) as
for example they will depend on each other.
I'd be grateful for any assistance progressing this.
