Are you still able to change the log output format to "CLIENT_RANDOM_PMS xxxx
yyyy" where xxxx is the ClientRandom value and yyyy the cleartext pre-master
secret? This removes the unused MS value and then we have this nice symmetry:

    CLIENT_RANDOM <client_random> <master_secret>
    CLIENT_RANDOM_PMS <client_random> <pre_master_secret>
