Show the preference, ie the path to the xml file

Unable to create filters after reading the "preference" using lua API.
Is it according the design that the filter creation should be avoided or
refused after initialization of dissectors?Unfortunately LUA API doesnt give an
informative error on this, but when i do debug, i can see a return value of
-2(return value of protoField.new()
I have an XML file, whose path is provided at run time in the preferences.
I try to read the xml file and create new filters based on the information.
But i cant see those filters in the filer UI, and there is error prompted by
lua, but could see a return value of -2, while debuging
Bug validation:
I tried to read the xml file before setting the preferences and create filters,
it was working.
the attchment shows a simple preference ie UI to enter the path to the xml
file, there is no problem with this feature
