First I use git pull --rebase to get the newest version
(v1.99.3rc0-26-gdf70dfe), then I build this version by myself.

I use VC++ 2010 EE to debug the wireshark.exe. In debug mode, it is very
strange that the preferences can be opened. 
I agree with you that maybe it is related to my preference file.

There is also no response when pressing "colorize Packet List".

I will double check it tomorrow.
