When applying a filter (and effectively following a stream) the packetlist is
filtered to match the filter.
If another filter needs to be applied, eiter a new search can be done or a
'clear' is needed. I often need to clear, for I don't always know before what
to look for. Clearing the filter reprocesses all packets and can be a lengthly
proces.
I would like to have the option to "apply in new window" (or "follow stream in
new window") so that the filtered packets are send to a new instance of the
application.
Benefits:
- Allows quicker search for multiple patterns (original packetlist untouched
therefore directly available for new search)
Possible downside:
- Takes more memory
Current workaround: Open same file twice and use one instance for global
browsing and other instance for applying searches.
