Wireshark 2 Preview is obsolete and not more packaged in the latest Wireshark
1.12.2 installer. 
So I suggest you to use the GTK based GUI and to remove the preference file as
indicated in my previous message. 
If you really need the Qt based GUI, please upgrade to Wireshark 1.99.1
development release that has many bugs fixed compared to the 4.12.X branch.
