Hypothesis: the text contains \r\n and some
not-concerned-with-cross-platform-compatibility programs read that as two
newlines?

If so, Wireshark should probably respect the platform on which it is running,
and provide \n or \r\n separated lines (or presumably \r if we still run on any
platforms like that) as appropriate.
