I guess the root issue is that Mobile IPv6 isn't considered an extension header
in Wireshark.

Why is Mobile IPv6 considered a payload and Authentication Header is considered
an extension header?
According to iana.org, both of these are extension headers (Mobility Header and
Authentication Header).
