I don't know if I'm the only one that has this problem frequently (maybe it's
just muscle memory from old Wireshark behavior), but would it be possible to
add an option to the preferences to enable a warning dialog popping up when
using "Save As" with an active display filter that reminds me to use "Export
Specified Packets"? Or even better, allows me to change the save mode to export
without having to do it manually?
That would so much in getting rid of the problem of saving gigabytes of packets
to disk when I only wanted to have a filtered dozen of them... especially since
it will be in the name that I wanted for the filtered packets and become the
active file, so I can't simply overwrite it right away...
Something like "You have an active display filter - do you really want to save
the whole file?"
That would help so much in saving valuable time and nerves.
