Hi Pascal, trying to fight my way through it now, never used GIT before.  I'm
not clear on how I use the command-line tool to push only the dnp changes I've
done and not the other junk I'm experimenting with..?

Based on what you said below, is the procedure roughly:

1) Edit the source file externally, do all testing.
2) Use my local GIT repository to commit the changes to my local tree
3) Use the GIT command line to push the changes from my local tree to the
refs/for branch?
