Are you saying that the problem is resolved with the latest version of
Wireshark, namely 1.10.5? If so, version 1.4 reached End-Of-Life on August
30,2012, so if it has been fixed, then whatever fix was made to resolve the
problem won't be backported to 1.4. In that case, I'd recommend that you
upgrade to a newer version of Wireshark. Well, I'd recommend that you upgrade
regardless.
