on bug 9569
from Jörg Mayer
OK, after catching up with this bug this is what I understood:
- There are customers still using the current dissector for traffic in their
production network
- audiocodes is no longer supporting that protocol version
- audiocodes is using newer versions of the protocol internally
If what I understand is correct, then why not leave the "legacy" dissector
as is and name the new one tpncp_experimental or tpncp_internal? If there
is a stable use of one of these protocol versions then they can (and should :-)
be added to Wireshark. And in that case we will hopefully be able to
differentiate between the old and the new version.
