Comment # 13 on bug 8912 from Guy Harris

Additional changes required - a bunch of floating-point constants assigned to
float variables had to have an "f" added to the end to avoid warnings about
assigning double values to floats (in C, floating-point constants are double by
default; you have to add "f" to the end to make them float).
