I downloaded the 1.10.0 dmg and installed it on my 10.8.3 machine, and was able
to launch Wireshark by double-clicking the icon in the Applications folder. It
continued to work after I un-installed all the Wireshark support libraries from
/usr/local/lib.
wireshark-bin shouldn't be launched directly; it should be started by the
wireshark shell script, which sets DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH.
Are you seeing problems when double-clicking the Wireshark icon under
/Applications? Are you seeing problems when you try to use the open command on
a capture file or double-click a capture file? Have you installed the
command-line Wireshark tools and, if so, are you trying to launch Wireshark
from the command line? Or are you trying to do something else?
What messages are getting logged in Console or on the command line?
