i have the some idea... but it is not easy VRRP and CARP are very similar... 
the field about version is the same but there is 1/2/3 version for VRRP and 1/2
for CARP...

May be with VRRP Addr Count / CARP Auth len, it is always 7 with CARP (the
length of Counter + SHA1 in 32chunks)
