Very well, this is Debian testing with KDE.

I checked out several other, but no, this behaviour was not seen on any of
those.

I attached a second snapshot of the window after enlarging it slightly by
pulling down the lower edge. Of course this causes a repaint, hence cleans up
the widgets.

I rolled back the patch for capture_if_dlg.c and tried again. There was no
difference. So rest assured, this patch was not the cause.
