Okay - it may be so that the tool does the initial optimisation of its own for
remote connections (this would account for jpeg 03 in the attachment).
But then again, I would still question why it overrides the user's current
desired definition of temp. capture filter at the end of a data capture session
(as indicated in jpeg 05).
The temp. capture filter definition (as chosen by the user) should last through
the entire Wireshark session or until he/she modifies it. Otherwise, the
handling of temp. capture filters becomes a nuisance (i.e. not that
user-friendly), as many of my colleagues would agree.
What if the user defines a more complex temp. filter – then he would have to
re-enter it again (and again)…
