on bug 1850
from David
At the time (5 years ago!) I wanted the absolute time printed in the statistics
output, rather than the offset from the start of the pcap.
Therefore if there is any bug in tshark to be fixed then it is that the output
from -z io,stat,1 does not
Testing with a very short capture right now shows:
----
$ tshark -z io,stat,1 -t ad -r /tmp/out.pcap
Interval: 1.000 secs
Column #0:
| Column #0
Time |frames| bytes
000.000-001.000 2 240
001.000-002.000 0 0
----
Personally I would like to see the absolute time if -t ad is given on the
commandline. For example the same output I suggested in my original comments.
For the record I now do similar with capinfos, Argus or libnids. But if others
agree with this bug and somebody has time to fix, it would be nice to see it
resolved.
Thanks.
