The important and relevant part is:
"After editing the settings in this [i.e.,
packaging/rpm/SPECS/wireshark.spec.in] file, ./configure must be run again in
the wireshark directory to generate the actual specification script. "
Did you make the necessary changes to the wireshark.spec.in file?
