After updating from wireshark 1.6 to 1.8.1 the feature in menu
statistics->conversations does not summarize correctly.
I am analyzing a dump with plenty tcp connections problems - 3 times SYN
without ACK - and got different result in wireshark 1.8.1.
My display filter is: tcp.flags.syn eq 1
Calling statistics->conversations
-> select "limit to display filter"
-> select tcp tab
In 1.8.1 the column "Packets" and "Packets a->b" seems to use wrong sums, the
latest wireshark revision always shows a count of 3. The older release showed
greater values. By evaluation the display filter directly you see, the older
revision is right.
Probably 1.8.1 calculates on a per tcp-session base. But that is wrong, the
table shows ip and ports, so all traffic (matching the filter) should be
considered.
