It appears that Wireshark cannot read some MPEG-2 Transport Streams generated
using certain video cameras, or captured from ISDB-based digital TV systems (as
used in Japan and Brazil) - despite them being seemingly well-formed enough for
other applications (e.g. TSReaderLite for Windows) to parse.
Examples of such files are available from:
*
http://www.aktiv-verlag.com/~webvideos/testvideos/2010/panasonic/Panasonic_HDC_TM_700_P_50i.MTS
* http://understand.googlecode.com/files/HD-SD1-1SEG.ts
The error message that I receive is similar to: "The file "[FILE PATH]" isn't a
capture file in a format Wireshark understands".
Thanks.
