This "bug fix" introduced a more serious bug 6537, which makes the Filter
Expression dialog pretty useless.  Unfortunately this patch was propagated to
the newly released version 1.4.10 and 1.6.3.

Prashanth; please provide a proper fix.


I'm sorry I didn't test this patch more before adding it.
